8 Free Music Download Apps for Android

August 23, 2021

In the era of Spotify, through music downloads, we have entered the era of streaming media consumption and started to feel a bit like DVDs in the era of Netflix. That said, it’s really comforting to have your music on your device without worrying about a bad internet connection or the unpredictability of keeping up with entertainment on long-haul flights. You may need a Free Music Download Apps for Android phones to download music to your device.
8 Free Music Download Apps for Android
This is our favorite Free Music Download Apps for Android, it won’t cost you a penny.

Note: Some of these apps need to be downloaded from outside the Play Store and require you to allow unknown sources on Android.

1. Fildo

There are two different versions of the Fildo application: one is the “Music Player” in the Play Store, but this will not provide you with the MP3 downloader you are looking for. To get the version of Fildo that allows you to download music for free, you need to install the APK from the official Fildo site.

When you’re done, use the in-app search to find the specific song or album you want to find. If you want to browse popular songs, you can also use the “popular” charts from various music sites integrated with the application.

After finding the album or song you want, press the “+” icon in the upper right corner and then select the corresponding option to download music, create a playlist, or listen to it immediately.

2. YMusic

YMusic is a more elegant and formal music download app that allows you to play any YouTube video as an audio file, and it even allows you to run it in the background on your phone.

The highlight here is that you can also download the video as an audio file. You can choose to download them in M4A and MP3 formats, and it has an excellent library user interface, and then you can manage music files just like in a music player app.

Of all the options on this list, YMusic is undoubtedly the most convenient (although you must download it from outside the Play Store) and the most reliable. For these reasons, it is at the top of our list.

3. NewPipe

Although NewPipe still feels like a work in progress, it is indeed capable of downloading music. It is open source and constantly improving. It now also supports downloads from SoundCloud, MediaCCC, Bandcamp, and FramaTube.

By default, the application opens as the YouTube interface. Just select the video you want to download, then click the download icon in the upper right corner, and choose whether to download it as a video or audio and the format you want.

To switch to SoundCloud, click the menu icon in the top corner, then click the big red “NewPipe” icon at the top and select SoundCloud (beta).

4. GTunes Music Downloader

An old but very good…just like Tom Waits. GTunes searches multiple large downloadable music domains for your query-you will find millions of songs by artists and generations. The search options are very rudimentary, so if you know exactly which songs you are looking for and just want to go out and download them, it is best to use them.

Note that when we use all four search engine apps, only “C” retrieves results, so try using that before complaining that everything doesn’t work. GTunes also has its own built-in player, and it even allows you to trim melodies and set songs as ringtones. These are all very basic things, but cut them down into one nice little package.

5. SONGily

The introduction to the Play Store is a bit confusing, which means you have to be a certain type of member to enjoy this app. Just ignore it. SONGily‘s free version is ad-supported and you can access libraries of old and new music from known and unknown artists, from hit charts to ocean cabins. (It’s true. I found the hut in Assassin’s Creed IV here). For each song you find, you will see the option to play and download the song you listen to. They recently added a feature that allows you to do the same thing with downloading videos.

This is the kind of app that I imagine Google doesn’t like this app too much, so don’t be too surprised if it disappears from the Play Store and you find that you have to download it manually.

6. TubeMate

Sometimes the best free music download apps aren’t even specifically designed for this purpose. TubeMate is an application that allows you to download YouTube videos in multiple formats, including only audio. As you probably know, YouTube is one of the best places to listen to your favorite music, and thanks to TubeMate, it is also one of the best places to download that music.

You can download TubeMate here (Google does not allow this on the Play Store, probably because it invaded YouTube), and when you try to download a video as audio (M4A or MP3), you will also be prompted to download MP3 videos. Converter, synchronized with TubeMate to convert video to audio.

7. 4Shared

The well-known 4Shared file sharing repository has been popular on PCs for many years, and it turns out that it is popular on Android too. Again, this is not designed for music only, because users can upload any file they want, but it is just as suitable for searching for music as anything else. (You can even choose to specifically search for music files.)

4Shared can be downloaded from the Play Store but not in all countries. If you can’t get it from the Play Store in your country, you can download the free APK here.

8. Audiomack

If you want to know that the music you download will not infringe any copyrights, and you are also willing to share in HipHop, Electronic, and Reggae arenas, then give Audiomack a try.

This application provides a platform for artists who do not have an official distribution channel, while also having a content filtering system to ensure that the quality of things there is good. This well-intentioned project has pushed hip-hop stars like TWayne, Fetty Wap, and Migos into signing deals with record companies, giving you the opportunity to help find the next big star.
