If your job requires you to open an Application as an Admin on a regular basis, you can set it up to do so automatically rather than manually. This article will show you how to set up Windows 11 to always open applications with admin rights.
Set to always open an Application as an Admin on Windows 11
To begin, locate the executable file (.exe file) for the application you want to open with elevated privileges all of the time. This could be a shortcut on the desktop or a file in File Explorer.
When you’ve found this file, right-click it to open the context menu. Then, either click or press Alt + Enter on the ‘Properties’ item.
The properties menu for the application will appear. You’ll be in the General tab if you open the application’s properties menu from an EXE file in File Explorer. You’ll be in the shortcut tab if you opened it from a desktop shortcut.
Toggle to the ‘Compatibility’ tab, regardless of which tab you’re on.
Check the box next to the ‘Run this Program as an Administrator’ option in the Compatibility tab’s list of installation options, click ‘Apply’ to apply this new option, then click ‘OK’ to close the window.
This app will now always Open an Application as an Admin by default. Use the same procedure to install any other apps you want.
