Change Your Account Password on the Amazon Website
To change your account password on a Windows, Mac, Linux, or Chromebook computer, go to the Amazon website.
To get started, open your computer’s web browser and go to the Amazon website. If you haven’t already, sign in to your account.
Click the “Account & Lists” option in the top-right corner of the Amazon site.
On the “Your Account” page that opens, select “Login & Security.”
You may be asked to enter your current account password by Amazon. Click the “Password” field in this case, type your password, and then click “Sign-In.”
You’re now on the “Login & Security” page. Here, next to “Password,” click “Edit.”
A “Change Password” page will appear. Here, type your current Amazon account password in the “Current Password” field. Then, in the “New Password” field, type the new account password you want to use. Re-enter your new password in the “Reenter New Password” field.
Finally, click the “Save Changes” button beneath the “Reenter New Password” field.
And your Amazon account now uses the password you just created! When it comes to account security, don’t forget that changing your Gmail password is simple.

Change Your Account Password in the Amazon Mobile App
If you shop on your iPhone, iPad, or Android phone, you can change your account password using the Amazon app.
To begin, open the Amazon app on your smartphone. Tap the user profile icon in the app’s bottom bar (the second icon in the row).
You’ll see a “Hello” screen. Here, at the top, tap “Your Account.”
On the “Your Account” page, from under the “Account Settings” section, select “Login & Security.”
You may be asked to type in your current password by Amazon. Continue after entering the password.

Tap “Edit” next to “Password” on the “Login & Security” screen that appears.
A “Change Password” screen will now appear. Enter your current account password in the “Current Password” field. Type a new password for your account in the “New Password” field.

Finally, tap “Save Changes” at the bottom of the “Change Password” section.
And your Amazon account password is now updated!
