  5. Select the Shortcuts tab. To launch the Calculator app, click the Shortcut key field and press any letter from the keyboard. Ctrl + Alt will be added to the selected shortcut by Windows. When you press the letter “E,” for example, Windows 10 creates the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Alt + E. Ctrl + Alt is added on its own in this case. As a result, my shortcut key for opening Calculator will be Ctrl + Alt + E in this case.

  6. Click the Apply button.

  7. Select OK.

Once you’ve completed the steps above, you’ll be able to use your keyboard shortcut to launch the Calculator app. We can open the Calculator app in my case by pressing Ctrl + Alt + E.

Method 2

  1. Press the Start button and type Calculator in the search box.
  2. Right-click the Calculator app in the list of results and choose “Pin to taskbar” to see the Calculator icon on the Windows 10 Taskbar.

The Calculator app icon will be added to the Windows 10 Taskbar using the steps above.

By pressing the Windows logo + sequence number of the Calculator icon keyboard shortcut, you can now access the Calculator app. It’s worth noting that you can use this shortcut to open any app from the taskbar. My calculator app, for example, is on the eighth number on the Windows 10 Taskbar, so my shortcut key to open it is Windows logo + 8. Another advantage of this hotkey is that it minimizes the currently open app with the same shortcut command. For example, pressing Windows logo + 8 hotkeys will launch the Calculator app, and pressing Windows logo + 8 hotkeys again will minimize it.
