The only way to synchronize photos and text messages from your smartphone on your Windows 10 PC is to use the Your Phone app on Windows 10 in conjunction with the Your Phone Companion app on Android and iOS. You can read and respond to text messages as well as view photos on your phone using the Your Phone app on Windows 10, all without leaving your Windows 10 PC. There’s no need to download anything extra because the Your Phone app comes pre-installed with Windows 10 October 2018 Update and newer. Here, How to Connect Your Phone on Windows 10?
How to set up and use Your Phone on Windows 10
To begin, connect your phone to your Windows 10 computer. To connect your phone to your Windows 10 PC, follow these steps.
- Select Start button
- Select Settings (keyboard shortcut is Windows key + i)
- Select Phone
- Select Add a phone
After selecting Add a phone, you’ll be taken to a welcome screen where you can begin setting up your phone. You’ll need to enter your phone number so that Microsoft can send you a text message with a link to download the Your Phone Companion app and complete the phone-to-PC connection.
You’ll need the link to get the Your Phone Companion app on your Android or iOS phone. Unfortunately, the Continue on PC app on iOS is the only way for iOS users to send web pages to their Windows 10 PC. This should come as no surprise, given Apple’s lack of customization. If you’re having problems with the Your Phone Companion app on an Android phone, you may need to enable app notifications for it to work properly.
