No matter what the problem is, here are some fixes so you can continue to get your favorite Disney + content.
How to Fix Disney+ Error Code 83
There are many reasons why you see error code 83 on Disney+. First, make sure you are using a compatible device. Then, if your device appears to be compatible, please continue to troubleshoot your internet connection issue.
1. Check Device Compatibility
Disney+ has a large list of all the devices and browsers it is compatible with. If Disney+ is already running on your device, you may not need to view the list. However, if this is your first time using the service and it does not work, it is worth checking the Disney+ compatibility list again.
Sometimes even if your device is not compatible, the app will still download or you can purchase a subscription. Fortunately, you can use the free trial version to determine if there is a device compatibility issue before paying for the service.

2. Force Close Disney+
If your device is compatible but you still see error code 83, please close and restart the application. If this does not work, try to forcibly close the application.
The method of forcibly closing the application depends on your device. On your phone, you can usually open the app switcher and swipe up on the Disney+ app to delete it. Or, you can go to “Settings”> “Applications”> “Disney +” and tap “Force Stop” or “Force Close” at the bottom of the screen.
3. Reinstall Disney+
If it still does not solve the problem, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the application. You can also try to restart the device. This may seem like a cliché IT thing, but sometimes turning off and reopening the device can indeed solve many problems.
4. Check Whether Disney+ Is Down
Maybe because too many people tried to watch at the same time, Disney + was just beaten. You can check this on services like Downdetector where users report problems to see if they are widespread. If this is the case, and Disney+ just went down, you will have to wait for Disney to resolve the issue.
5. Check Your Internet Connection
However, it is also possible that your Internet is causing the problem. It is worth checking or even restarting the router to make sure there are no problems.
This error can also occur if you use cellular data or Wi-Fi hotspots to stream content from Disney+. Disney+ seems to prefer a strong Wi-Fi connection, so if possible, switch from cellular data.
