How to Create a Custom Cursor Scheme on Windows 11?
You may like most cursors in a mouse pointers scheme, but not all that Windows uses. Individual cursors in a scheme can be changed if desired. Each scheme, for your information, includes 17 cursors that apply to various actions when hovering over objects on your screen. You can save a scheme to the list of usable schemes after customizing it. To do so, go through the steps below:-
- Press the Windows + I keys on the keyboard to launch the Settings app.
- When Windows Settings opens, select the Bluetooth & devices category from the left sidebar.
- Select the Mouse tab from the right sidebar.
- Under the Related settings section, click the Additional mouse settings option.
- The Mouse Properties dialog appears once you’ve completed the previous steps. Go to the Pointers section of the menu.
- From the Scheme dropdown menu, choose the scheme you want to use.
- Select any cursor you want to change from the list of cursors in the Customize section. Then select Browse from the drop-down menu.
- File Explorer will now open to the system folder, which contains all of the cursors for each scheme. There are two types of files in this files: .cur and .ani. The first is a static cursor, while the second is an animated cursor. While most cursors are static, a few (aero busy and aero working) are animated. Click the Open button after selecting the cursor you want to replace.
Repeat steps 5 through 8 if you need to change more cursors. - When you’re finished, hit the Save As button.
- Give the scheme a name and then hit OK.
