After testing a few projectors, I’ve come to the conclusion that the ViewSonic M1+ Portable Projector offers the best value. It weighs two pounds and comes with a powerful speaker system (a feature that other portable projectors frequently lack), crisp projection up to 100 inches, and a small but sturdy body, all for under $300.

Design: As sleek as it gets
The key features of this mini projector include wireless screen mirroring, integrated Harman Kardon Bluetooth speakers, and a smart stand for 360-degree projection. It also comes with a built-in battery that can hold a six-hour charge and has a 30,000-hour operating life, allowing you to get the most out of this projector. But, honestly, there’s a lot to like about this tiny projector. The attached metal stand also serves as a lens cap, preventing damage during transport. I’m a sucker for multifunctional features, but the fact that this design doesn’t require a tripod was enough to pique my interest.
The projector’s ports are located on the side: micro SD, DC power, USB Type C, HDMI 1.4, mini-jack 3.5mm, and USB Type A. They’re hidden behind a trap door and can only be accessed by pulling a small tag. A focus ring sits just above that, allowing you to make adjustments as needed. Four manual control keys and one of the device’s two speakers are located on the back.
Setup Process: Mostly self-explanatory
The ViewSonic M1+ is simple to set up and operate, which is fortunate because the manual isn’t particularly helpful (I struggle with picture-only instructions). When I first opened the box, I discovered that swiveling the stand to reveal the lens turns on the device. It was simple to plug and play presentations, videos, and pictures after that.

Image Quality: Excellent
The ViewSonic M1+ projected a crisp image and cast a large screen, with the shorter throw lens projecting up to 100 inches from 8 to 9 feet. The only flaw I could find was the autofocus feature, which can be a pain in projectors because of its proclivity to focus and then refocus.
The attached metal stand also serves as a lens cap, preventing damage during transport.

Audio: Very Good
The ViewSonic M1audio +’s is certainly inferior to that of a speaker, but it is superior to that of most other miniature projectors. The fan whispers, and while it is audible, it is in no way bothersome.

Price: Pretty reasonable
A good mini projector, especially one with a well-thought-out design and good sound quality, is usually an investment. One of the many things we like about the ViewSonic M1+ is how affordable it is for everything it has to offer.

ViewSonic M1+ vs. Anker Nebula Capsule IIĀ
The Anker Nebula Capsule II (view on Amazon) is my favorite because of the wide range of features it offers; it truly elevates on-the-go entertainment. The ViewSonic M1+, on the other hand, gives it a run for its money. Although it lacks Google Assistant and Chromecast like the Capsule II, the M1speaker +’s quality, Bluetooth capability, and thoughtful design make it a worthy competitor.
The Nebula II’s higher price tag justifies all of the extra features that the M1+ lacks, but if you don’t need them all, the ViewSonic M1+ could be the right choice for you.

The Final Word
The ViewSonic M1+ is one of the best projectors for on-the-go entertainment, as it can provide entertainment almost anywhere. It’s priced in the middle, which makes it easy to say that it’s well worth the money for those who value image quality, sound quality, portability, and ease of use.
